§ 1 Scope

These terms of use apply to the internal library management system (hereinafter “Library”), which is available exclusively to members of the student group. By registering, you accept these Terms and Conditions in their current version.

§ 2 User Account

Each natural person may only create one account. You are obligated to keep your login credentials confidential and not to share them with third parties. Sharing the account with other persons is not permitted. The account is only activated after confirmation of the email address and approval by an administrator.

§ 3 Loans and Reservations

Books can be reserved and borrowed via the platform. The loan period is up to 13 weeks by default and is set at the time of reservation. Books must be returned no later than the due date. If the return date is exceeded, the book will be marked as overdue. Repeated overdue returns may result in account suspension.

§ 4 Duty of Care

Borrowed books must be handled with care and returned in the condition in which they were borrowed. In the event of loss or significant damage caused by the user, replacement at the cost of reprocurement may be demanded.

§ 5 Email Communication

Transactional emails (e.g. reservation confirmations, loan receipts, overdue reminders) are sent to the registered email address regardless of your preferences, as they are necessary for use of the service.

In addition, we may occasionally send information about news, events, new books and similar topics. You will only receive these marketing emails if you explicitly consented during registration or subsequently in the settings. You can withdraw your consent at any time in the profile settings.

§ 6 Privacy

The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the Privacy Policy. By registering, you agree to the data processing described therein.

§ 7 Suspension and Deletion

Administrators are entitled to temporarily suspend or permanently delete accounts in the event of repeated violations of these Terms and Conditions. All outstanding loans must be completed before deletion.

§ 8 Changes to the Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions may be amended at any time. Users will be notified of material changes by email. Continued use of the platform after the amended Terms and Conditions come into effect constitutes acceptance.
